After Bribing GOP Senators with $4 Million, Rosie Gets Life-Shattering News from Long Arm of the Law

Frequent Trump critic Rosie O’Donnell recently offered RINO Sens. Jeff Flake and Susan Collins $2 million a piece if they voted against the GOP tax cuts (which will benefit 80% of Americans since it has now passed and will soon be signed by the president).

In doing so, Rosie broke federal law.

Now, she could potentially face 15 years in prison.

From Downtrend:

In the hours leading up to the vote on the Tax Cut and Jobs Act, out of work loser Rosie O’Donnell attempted to bribe Republican Senators to vote against it. Maybe this was her attempt at humor, but she’s not funny and is an outspoken member of the Resistance. It’s almost certain she was serious and a 100% certain that this is a major federal crime for which she could spend 15 years in the slammer.

Here are Rosie’s messages, where she more than likely broke federal law:

18 U.S. Code § 201 – Bribery of public officials and witnesses is pretty clear in defining this crime. Any attempt to influence a public official’s public act with an offer of something of value is bribery and a felony. O’Donnell offered 4 million dollars, which is something of value, to get two Senators, who are public officials, to vote against a tax bill, which is a public act. She’s guilty as hell of this.

[…]

The punishment for attempting to bribe a public official is up to 15 years in prison and a fine of “three times the monetary equivalent of the thing of value.” Since she offered 2 million to each senator, that’s 6 million a piece or 12 million total. But it gets more interesting since she also offered any Republican senator the same deal. There are 52 Republican Senators and at 2 million each, that makes 104 million times 3 which is 312 million. In addition, she’d be looking at 52 cases of trying to bribe a public official so she could also face 780 years in prison.

More via NY Daily News:

FBI officials neither confirm nor deny investigations.

Most prosecutors would use their discretion, [Rebecca] Roiphe [a New York law school professor] said, look at the context of the political situation and not even interview O’Donnell.

“It all rides on what her intent was in writing that tweet,” she told the News. And trying to buy influence isn’t “the point of this whole string of these tweets. What she’s trying to do is fake-offer a bribe to point out that they’ve already been politically been bought.”

Like most liberals, Rosie isn’t very good at using her words.

When something happens she doesn’t like or doesn’t understand, she lashes out with vulgar insults rather than articulating a position.

Rep. Steve Scalise, who you might remember was almost murdered simply for being a Republican, is happy that Republicans got a tax plan through the House. Makes sense.

Rather than explain why she disagrees with Scalise, Rosie went off!

Lovely lady.

Scalise had the perfect response.

From Washington Examiner:

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise mockingly blessed Rosie O’Donnell on Twitter Thursday after she called the senator a “fucking liar.”

O’Donnell was responding to a tweet from the Louisiana Republican touting that the House passage of the GOP tax reform plan was a “win for American families,” when she called the senator a liar.

“Bless your heart,” Scalise tweeted in responded to the profane remark.

Props to Steve Scalise for injecting a little class into the conversation.

Rosie wasn’t done.

Apparently, Rosie hasn’t completed her post-Trump therapy yet.

From Washington Times:

Rosie O’Donnell is breaking her silence on President Trump, revealing in her first interview since his November election that it’s taken her some soul-searching and “a lot of therapy” to finally compose herself enough to speak to the press.

“It was a severe shock to my entire essence and my beliefs in the order in the world, and also the PTSD of having been an abused kid in a family,” the comedian told W magazine of Mr. Trump’s surprising election victory. “And to think that the man who had abused me so viciously and with impunity for over a decade was now running the country.”

Ms. O’Donnell, who has engaged in an ugly and very public back-and-forth with Mr. Trump since 2006, said the original pilot of her new Showtime series “SMILF” suffered because it was shot the day after the Mr. Trump’s election when she was in “no shape” for work.

Poor thing.

You know what conservatives did after Obama was elected? Nothing.

They went back to work and went on with their lives. Then they formed the Tea Party and stopped his policies in constructive ways.

That seems to be a big difference between the left and right.

When Democrats don’t get their way they riot or go to therapy. When Republicans don’t get their way they regroup for the next election.
